Treatment for breast cancer varies in scope and intensity for each patient. One common factor is the expense related to treatment....unplanned, uncomfortable and usually unafforable. Just when you've finally recovered from the shock of being diagnosed and come up with the co-pays for the MRI, CAT scan, EKG and other required tests, you sink at the notion that facilities in the Texas Medical Center do not have free parking.
Parking expenses are rarely thought of when you think about cancer treatment. Most often, we think about the cost of medication, treatment, doctor visits and hospital stays. The truth is parking is required to accomplish most of those activities and often times its not free or inexpensive.
It's difficult to predict how long an appointment will last when you're a cancer patient.
